(MEMPHIS December 15, 2009 9:16 PM) — Memphis Police are investigating a robbery at El Ranchito Mexican Products, which is located at 3908 Macon Road in Berclair.
Surveillance video from the holdup shows a man in a Dallas Cowboys hooded sweatshirt ordering several people inside the store to get on the ground. At the same time you can see his partner in crime, who is wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, yelling at the clerk to open the cash register.
The suspects leave with the entire cash drawer. The victims were unharmed.
That incident occurred on December 10th. Three days earlier, a restaurant about six miles east on Macon Road was robbed.
That robbery happened at La Playita Mexican Restaurant at 6194 Macon. Police haven’t confirmed a connection to the two robberies, but the details are very similar.
Witnesses say one of the suspects in the restaurant robbery was wearing a Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt, and the other was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
